God's Confirmation

As I have gone along this journey of having a book published, I want to be sure that I always give all of the glory to God.  He did this, He saved my marriage, He inspired me to want to minister to other women, and He had me accidentally write a book.  Now He is doing it again.  Yesterday, I talked with a long time friend of mine.  She is the person that everyone needs in his or her life.  She is much older than me, is very wise and loves the Lord with all of her heart.  She always has sound advice; I love her and her family dearly!  God is now using her to help me.  Without people knowing about my book and doing the Bible study, God cannot use it to heal people and help them have the marriage that He intended.  My dear friend has offered to buy all of the books that I need to promote this study to local media, bookstores and churches.  I was really almost speechless by her generous offer and thankful beyond words.  This is just another confirmation that God wants to use me as an example to inspire and heal marriages.  I am honored to be God's servant and thankful for my dear friend that God is using to help me in this process.  I hope that each of you have someone like her in your life!  May God bless you all.

Cost Too Much???

So, now I have a release date and I have looked at my publisher's online bookstore and have seen the price they gave my book... $16.95.  That seems kind of pricey to me.  Although I had nothing to do with the price, I fell a little guilty about it.  I just hope that when the main retailers get it, they lower the price.  I do not want the cost to adversely affect the work that God can do with this.  I just continue to ask for your prayers.

Ready... Set...

Okay, so it is not quite, "Go" yet.  But I am getting really close!  My publisher emailed me an official release date today.  I still cannot believe that when you type my name into seach engines that I come up as an author with a webpage.  I also can't believe that in two months you will be able to go to the counter at Borders and give them my name and they will be able to order the book that I wrote (totally with God's help and inspiration) for you!  This is really about to become a reality!  You can even buy it from my publisher NOW!  I guess that makes it a reality even though I do not have a copy in my hands yet.  I still have to wait a few more weeks for that.  My mind is almost spinning in what to do next.  I am going to let God lead me and use me!  I am confident that He will make clear how I am supposed to market this book.  I pray with all of my heart that He does something special in at least one woman's life because of what I have learned and experienced and now wrote.  I want to thank you again for all of your prayers and support as I continue down this crazy path that God has put me on!

Cover Design

Wow, this thing is really becoming a reality.  Last week while on vacation, Publish America sent me a cover design.  It was not exactly what I was looking for and they quickly sent another one. Doug looked at it and said that it was not what he had in mind, so to designing he went.  He knows me so well and loves me so much that he has designed me the perfect cover.  I will be sending it to my publisher tomorrow and cannot wait for their approval!  As soon as I have their approval, I will be posting it on the homepage.  I am pretty much expecting a release date of 4-6 weeks from now, which is very exciting.  Now I have to really start a "marketing" plan.  Please say a prayer for me that God uses this book and me in whatever way he wants!  Thanks for all of your love and support!
